Formal Letter - Cineplex in the park - a good idea or not?

Some good work all round on this. The task was to write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper for or against the council's proposal to build a cineplex in the local park. Here's Pim's great effort.

Dear Editor,

I heard that the council is planning to build a multiplex cinema on a small park in the centre of the town. However, I disagree with them building the park, even though I like to watch movies very much.

There are many reasons why I disagree with them. The first reason is many people use the park to do exercise, to come to relax and to meet their friends. The second reason is most people travel through the centre of the city as their main pathway of travelling. So if they build the cinema, it might cause heavy traffic jams. Moreover, the park is a place where we can enjoy nature and back away from the city life. The final reason is while they are building the cinema, it will make noise and disturb other people. Therefore, the buildings around the construction might get affected from the construction as noisy sounds can disturb employees while working.

In conclusion, I want to vote my opinion as I have lived in this town since I was born. The main reason for me disagreeing is nature and our beautiful park will be destroyed. Nevertheless, other people might have different opinions about this plan
